9 Weeks to Go!

I can't believe I only have 9 weeks to go! Well, technically 10, but since I'm c-section, it's 9. Here are some of my favs from our maternity shoot. Can't believe we are so close to the end, but at the same time I kinda feel like someone has hit the "pause" button lol

365 Days +

Wow... So I can't believe it's been over a year since the last post... that's pretty bad. Facebook is just so much easier for me lol Anyway, I decided I wanted to make a post of my pregnancy. I'm 18 weeks now and that means I'm almost halfway. Figured I should document some of these pics :)

Early Christmas w/ Buelo and Buela

We initially thought that we would not get to see David's parents on Christmas day. It ended up that we DID see them, but just in case, we planned a trip up to West palm beach the Thursday before Christmas because David was off of work. We had lunch w/ abuelo and abuela as well as a couple of aunts and uncles (tios and tias) and one cousin (prima). After lunch, we walked over to a nature park with David's Dad, his aunt Marielena and his uncle Oscar (another uncle, not the husband of Marielena... it's confusing I know lol). Izaac enjoyed running around on the trails and checking out the lake as well as playing catch with his great-aunt, Marielena. Marielena and her husband German and their daughter Lorena just moved here from Colombia. It was great to spend time with them and get to know them a little. I didn't get any picture of German because he had left to run an errand. But dont worry, I'll get him next time! lol

Christmas with the Cousins

Next stop after my parents' house was David's brother's house. Izaac was so happy to see his cousins Anabelle, Aadan, Daleth and Josiah (according to Izaac: Ana, Anin, Da & Jojo) My sister in law, Jaime, made Izaac a cute gift. She made bean bags to look like cookies w/ a cookie monster face as the target. It's super cute. We finished exchanging gifts and then All the kids ran out to the backyard to play w/ their new Swing set/Playground. David and I went in on this gift also. Izaac was left indoor... hence the picture of him staring out the back door LOL. Finally We took him outside to play with his cousins. We enjoyed playing and eating lunch there. Overall it was a very relaxed Christmas day :) We have so much to be thankful for. Family, Friends, Family in Christ, and most of all for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Salvation we have through Him. I am looking forward to next Christmas when Izaac will be old enough to start understanding the TRUE meaning of Christmas. The plan will be to make a cake or cupcakes and sing happy birthday to Jesus as a yearly tradition :)

Christmas Morning @ Gammy & Gappa's Casa

After opening gifts at home, we headed down the street to my parents' house. Gammy and Grandpa (aka Gappa) and Tio were waiting for us. We exchanged gifts with them and took tons of pictures of course. These are just a few. the first thing Izaac opened was a pair of brown shoes which he immediately wanted to put on. He was very anxious to take off the ones he had on and put the new ones on. lol. Then, he opened the "big guns" ... two toys my parents got him. 1. a tool bench... which Izaac immediately associated w/ MANNY (Handy Manny) & 2. some kind of loopy car toy.... My poor brother was so anxious to give Izaac the gift he bought him... the CARS movie which Izaac has a new attachment to.... but Izaac only sat next to my brother long enough to rip part of the wrapping lol Izaac was not intrigued by ANYTHING after opening the big toys lol my brother had to open the gift the rest of the way lol Of course, the big toys stay at my parents house for him to play with when he is there, so here at home the CARS movie is a big hit lol Anywho, here are a few pics of our time at my parents.

Christmas Morning 2010

We had a very nice and relaxing Christmas morning. We woke up around 8 and let Izaac head straight for his gifts. We just bought him a few things. We don't want him to get used to getting a million things. Plus, we knew that he'd be getting toys from his grandparents and aunts and uncles. Izaac opened his gifts and then we opened ours. Izaac looks wonderful of course :) First thing in the morning, we are not quite at our BEST looking lol Oh well. haha. I think the most fun was when David opened up the toy helicopter I got him and Izaac chased it around while screaming in excitement as David flew it around the house :)

Decorating Fun

So this is the first year that we decorated the Christmas tree "as a family". Last year, Izaac was too little, and the couple of years before we didn't have a tree.

We pretty much let Izaac tell us where to put the ornaments. . . He was a really good supervisor lol He even went around re-arranging a few ornaments. Good thing I bought the "shatter proof" kind.

:)
