Decorating Fun

So this is the first year that we decorated the Christmas tree "as a family". Last year, Izaac was too little, and the couple of years before we didn't have a tree.

We pretty much let Izaac tell us where to put the ornaments. . . He was a really good supervisor lol He even went around re-arranging a few ornaments. Good thing I bought the "shatter proof" kind.

Monkeys All Around

Last week Tab came over w/ the kiddos. It was one of the first cool days of the year. We took our monkeys to the park to monkey around! Slides, swings, Merry-go-round... and of course... MONKEY bars. Usually when we go no one else there. However, this time there were a few other kids. I enjoyed watching them all run around. You would think they had been locked up in a cage or something the way they were so THRILLED to be FREE lol Henry of course is the professional monkey. Marc and Nay try to keep up w/ him. Izaac tries to keep up with ALL of them... maybe one day his "athletic skills" will catch up to his older amigos. My fav was when we let Izaac try to hold onto the Monkey bars. It was only the second time ever, but this time he held on for quite a while. . . .  although, I think that was mostly because he was just afraid to let go. All in all it was a good, relaxing day spent w/ our buds. We love when they come play with us!

Family Fall Festival

This year was the first year that our chapel decided to do a Family Fall Festival. They set up booths with different games and prizes. A lot of the chapel kids dressed up and some of the workers also. They wanted to use it as a type of outreach for the neighborhood kids. To give them an alternative to roaming the neighborhood etc. They also worked in a gospel message in pumpkin carving. They spoke about how we are like the pumpkin, dirty inside, when we accept the Lord as our savior he cleans us from our sin, they put a candle inside to show how the Holy spirit lives in us and shines through etc.... We were so sad to have missed it, but the cruise had already been booked in advance.

Anyway, my parents took Izaac to the festival for us. He had a SUPERMAN costume that was oh so cute on him! However, my mom's camera was missing the memory card, so the pictures I have are ones that were taken by someone else in passing. I will have to see if he will allow me to put the costume back on so I can take pictures lol We'll see.

Here are the two pictures I have at the moment. The first one is my dad and Izaac at one of the booths & the second one shows that Izaac is "faster than a speeding bullet" ... that's why it's blurry lol He's so fast, he lost his cape haha

Halloween

Okay, so Halloween happened to fall while we were on the cruise. We went on the cruise because the day we returned was my hubby's birthday... NOT for Halloween, but it worked out that way. Anyway, neither my husband or I had dressed up for Halloween since we were little kids... but our friends thought it would be fun to dress up so we went along with it.

We brainstormed for several weeks, trying to think of a group theme..... the flinsones, super hero, super villains, scooby doo bunch, movie themes, etc.... nothing worked out though. We couldn't agree on what to do and then at the end we just went with what was available lol

Eddie was King Tut.. which I think he chose because he could show off his lil legs and wear sandals lol and Melitza was a Pirate.... which is a costume she borrowed from her sister in law.

David and I were going to both be the Mad Hatter.... then we were gonna be Jack Sparrow and pirate...... but, David didn't like either of those costumes on him... they were kinda one size fits all and were big on him...

So my darling husband got the idea to buy himself the cheapest costume... a prisoner.... all because he wanted me to be the police officer.... oh brother lol Not the most creative, but it was fun.

Water Baby

The cruise was very relaxing and a lot of fun! However, We missed our lil man waaay too much! We were so happy to be back home with him!

We arrived home on Monday. On Tuesday, my brother and some friends from our chapel were all going to go to the beach for a few hours. He INSISTED that I let him pick Izaac and I up to go. I was feeling very exhausted and wasn't planning to go anywhere, but I gave in since I hardly see my brother any more. I did get stung by a manowar that the waves brushed by my thigh, but all in all it was a good day! Izaac loved it and was all smiles and laughs. His laugh is like music to my ears! Missed it so much! That alone made it so worth it!

Again, you all know me... this is like 1/4 of the pics I took of him running around and playing in the water, but these are prob the best ones. Enjoy!

Cruise to Key West and Cozumel

So last year my hubby and I went on a cruise with a few friends. This year,  those same friends wanted to do a "cruise reunion".... It ended up just being 4 of us this year... two couples.... it was much more relaxing and uneventful than it was last year with 7 people lol

The first stop was Key West, where we really didn't do much. We just walked around. The second stop was Cozumel, Mexico. I have been there 3 times now and it never gets boring. The water is just gorgeous and the weather is always perfect!

In no particular order, here are just a FEW of the couple hundred pictures I took. lol Enjoy!
